Sen sijaan Lutakko liekeissä -tapahtumaa Alberto ei voinut jättää väliin, sillä siellä soitettiin todellista punkkia. Albertin keikkakuumetta ei varsinaisesti lievittänyt sekään, että osa illan esiintyjistä oli hänelle tuttuja jo entuudestaan.
Alberto palasi iltamista kuono innosta punoittaen, ja hehkutus yltyi huippuunsa seuraavana päivänä, kun eräs hänen ystävänsä lähetti hänelle sähköpostissa kuvia keikalta. Niitä minulle esitellessään Alberto kertasi myös illan kohokohdat.
Ensimmäinen bändi, jonka Alberto ehti näkemään, oli hänen suuri suosikkinsa Murheenlaakso, joka soittaa edesmenneen Mana mana -orkesterin kappaleita. Tämä on sikäli loogista, että useimmat Murheenlaakson soittajista soittivat aikoinaan myös Mana manassa. Rummuissa heillä oli tällä kertaa kuulemma vanha tuttumme Pesosen Raimo, jonka tosin olimme edellisen kerran tavanneet hieman toisenlaisissa merkeissä.
Murheenlaakson jälkeen esiintyi Alberton mukaan illan odotetuin artisti Pertti Kurikan nimipäivät. Albertokin oli hössöttönyt etukäteen eniten juuri tästä bändistä, eikä suotta. Itsekin hieman dokumenttifilmiltä bändiä nähneenä voin sanoa, että näillä miehillä on todellista punkasennetta. Pertti Kurikan nimipäivien yhteiskuntakritiikki osuu ihan oikeaan osoitteeseen. Olemme olleet erityisen innostuneita myös keikalla soitetusta kappaleesta ”Päättäjä on pettäjä”.
Nimipäivä-orkesterin jälkeen lavalle oli kivunnut hieman metallisempi joukkio nimeltä FM2000.
- Olivatkos nämä punkkarit jotain sinun tuttujasi? Muistelen nähneeni studiossasi muutaman kelanauhan, jonka päällä lukee tämän orkesterin nimi, utelin Albertolta.
- No jaa, eivät varsinaisesti, ennemminkin he ovat sellaisia tutun tuttuja. Olin kerran äänittämässä ystävieni keikkaa, ja FM2000 sattui olemaan samalla keikalla. Äänittelin sitten heidänkin osuutensa siinä samalla kun kerta vehkeet olivat siinä pystyssä, selitteli Alberto tekemisiään.
Tähän asti kuvat näyttivät aika säyseiltä keikkakuvauksilta, mutta kun näin kuvan, joka oli otettu Lama-yhtyeen esiintyessä, olin pyllähtää lattialle kauhistuksesta. Alberto oli crowdsurfaamassa muun yleisön käsien päällä!
- Apua! Sinä olisit voinut tippua sieltä ja satuttaa itsesi! minä hätäilin sydän syrjälläni.
- No taisin kieltämättä hieman innostua liikaa, mutta hyvä musiikki-ilta oli nostanut fiilikset niin korkealle, etten voinut välttää kiusausta, Alberto selitti.
En sitten voinut hermostua enempää hänelle – sillä ihan ehjänä karhunahan Alberto oli takaisin tullut.

Alberto the punk rocker
Alberto has been quite interested in punk rock music lately after he bought albums by The Clash and Sex Pistols when we were in Edinburgh. He has been listening to them so intensively over the past few weeks that I was quite sure that he would get himself the mohawk hairdo soon. Luckily, that has not happened yet. However, when our local rock club Lutakko hosted a one day punk rock festival a few weeks ago, nothing could have kept Alberto for not going - especially as he was familiar with some of the bands that were playing.
Alberto was very excited when he got back and his enthusiasm went over the top when he received some photos from his friend on the next day. He gave me quite detailed account of what had happened while we were looking at the pictures.
The first band he got to see was one of his favorites - Murheenlaakso (The Valley of Sorrow) that covers the songs of the famous but now disbanded group called Mana mana. The catch here is that most of the musicians of Murheenlaakso actually used to play in Mana mana, too. Alberto was surprised to discover that they had one his long-time friends on drums this time.
Once Murheenlaakso was done with their set, the stage was cleared for probably the most anticipated group of the evening - Pertti Kurikan nimipäivät (The Name Day Party of Pertti Kurikka). Alberto had been talking a lot about them lately and I was somewhat aware of their music and career after seeing a documentary film about them and I have to agree that these guys definitely are what punk rock should be all about with their lyrics full of social commentary and critique.
The next band was a bit more metal-oriented FM2000. I thought that I had seen some reel tape boxes labeled with their name lying around in Alberto's studio so I had to ask him if they were some kind of friends of his.
- Well, not exactly, they are more like friends of a friend, but I have once recorded them live when they shared the bill with another band I was recording that night, was Alberto's answer.
When we were looking at the photos of the headlining act Lama (The Recession), I was in for a shocking surprise - there was one picture where I spotted Alberto doing some very dangerous looking crowdsurfing!
- Good grief! You could have fallen down and hurt yourself! I cried.
- Well, I agree that I probably got a bit carried away with it but it was great fun nonetheless, Alberto explained.
Well, I couldn't be angry with him for much longer as everything had ended without any harm...
